Lip Blush

Lip blush tattoo

Lip Blush is a form of Semi-Permanent makeup for lips.  It will boost your natural lip color, create volume and fullness for your lips.

Also, it will help to correct asymmetry or darkness of your lips.  Unlike lip tattoos, Lip-Blush technique applies small dots of pigment in the lips using a needle.  A tattoo on your lips sounds pretty painful, and it varies depending on your pain tolerance, however, the average pain level is between 0-3 with 10 being the most painful.

Lip blushing will last years, but depending on your lifestyle, the retention may vary.

Pre and Post Care

PRE CARE

Please keep your lips hydrated prior to your appointment. Using a lip balm or ointment of your choice a week before your appointment will help speed up the healing process.

The night before your appointment use a warm damp cloth to massage any dead skin off.

Lip filler can be done 2 weeks before your appointment

IMPORTANT

If you have had a cold sore in the past your must take an antiviral medication 4 days before and 4 days after. I do recommend doubling up your dose the day of your appointment. Some pharmacist can prescribe the antiviral medication, or you can get it from your Dr.

Please remember to get enough for your touch up appointment.

POST CARE

Swelling and bruising is normal for the first few days. To relieve the swelling, you can ice the area with soft gel ice packs.

Your lips will feel swollen and very dry after your appointment. I will provide you with the proper healing ointment.

Please use this for a minimum of 7 days after your appointment to speed up the healing procecss.
Always apply ointment with a clean q-tip

Your lips will start to flake around day 3, do not pick or scratch at them; re apply ointment to soothe.
Avoid direct sunlight for 7-10 days after your appointment. Using a lip balm with a SPF will prolong the life of the pigment.

Avoid saunas, hot tubs, excess exercise until they are healed 7-10 days.

What about colour?

Many questions I get from my clients are how do I choose what colour. You may bring in your favourite lip colours for me to match or I can help create a custom pigment to match your skin tone and the style you are looking to achieve.
